S26 LLAB1: Land Nav
LLAB 1: This week we learned Preliminary Marksmanship Instruction and Land Navigation!
Army ROTC Land Navigation training teaches cadets how to use a map, compass, terrain association, and pace count to locate points in unfamiliar terrain without GPS, building both technical skill and confidence under pressure. Marksmanship training develops safe weapon handling, shooting fundamentals (steady position, sight alignment, trigger control, and breathing), and the ability to engage targets accurately from various positions and distances. Together, these trainings reinforce discipline, attention to detail, and composure—skills that translate directly to leadership both in the field and beyond.
