Spring 2026 LLABS

LLAB 3: Tactical Combat Casualty Care

Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) in the U.S. Army is the standard, evidence-based, prehospital care, teaching soldiers to treat preventable combat deaths. It consists of three phases—Care Under Fire, Tactical Field Care, and Tactical Evacuation Care—focused on stopping severe hemorrhage, managing airways, and preventing shock.

Cadets are taught how to apply a tourniquet. pack a wound, call a 9-Line MEDEVAC request, and other tactics to dave their battle buddy!

LLAB 2: Combat Water Survival Training (CWST)

You thought swimming was just for the Navy? Here, we teach and test cadets on survival tactics in ALL terrain. For this LLAB, we test Cadets on 3 events.

  1. 3 meter drop. Cadets have to jump off a diving board blindfolded and with their rifle held in front of them.

  2. Equipment Ditch. Cadets have to take off their FLC underwater.

  3. 15 meter swim. Cadets must swim 15m with their rifle over their head and without touching the bottom or sides of the pool.

Bonus: As a bonus activity, we teach cadets how to turn their OCP pants into a life vest.

As a mandatory annual commissioning requirement, the Army Combat Water Survival Test (CWST) is designed to assess and build a cadet's confidence, stamina, and ability to survive in water while wearing full equipment.
